Hello Everyone, I am Ramesh Mrityunjay from Bartley Secondary School. This section is about me. People call me Jay as my full name is pretty hard to pronounce. And I really love playing soccer with my friends and I also like to play chess in my free time. One of the main things which I am also starting to like is learning how to code. I have now started learning HTML and CSS and I find it very interesting to play with elements and create a front-end website. Coding seems to be not an easy one to handle but I also realised the taste of victory one gets when being able to get a correct code which works. One value which I feel I am very capable of is being able to learn and adapt fast to new things. The other main thing which I feel I am capable of is time management. This is one of the values which is very necessary to the course. I am also an extrovert and am able to engage in quality conversation with my friends and peers.
In my 4 years in secondary school life and in my 16 years of life. I have had many achievements in both school and on my own. In this section I would like to talk to you about the achievements I have done related and unrelated to my course.
In my secondary school, I have participated in many types of competitions. In my secondary one, I participated in the Tamil debate competition and then also participated in the Navarasam competition on being an anchor for a small show. I also have experience in leading a team in a competition such as my school inter-class competition. I also had the chance to be the host of my school’s Commentation day,Investiture and a zonal competition on the language.
My own achievements is that I was able to create a website about myself. There are also more achievements I have made it by myself. It might seem small but I am really proud of them. It is when I was able to set-up my own desktop for my use. The other achievement is my certification in FreeCodeCamp.com for my HTML and CSS learning. These are some of the main achievements which made me feel proud of myself.
This section is fully about my CCA and how I contributed to it and the things which I have gained from my CCA. First of all I am from the National Cadet Corps air department (NCC Air). I really enjoy being in this CCA. I have also gained the third highest rank called the Staff Sergeant. This rank is one of the toughest ranks to get and also with a lot of responsibility to uphold. I have organised three CCA camps and also I have been in the lead role in the Precision-Drill Squad (PDS) department. I have also choreographed many performances for the PDS department. In the four years being in this CCA I have learned that responsibility and hard work is important to succeed in life and if lacking it causes me to pay a harsh price.Being in this CCA made me more focused in my work and also to always strive for the best. I have now gained confidence in myself.This is why I feel CCA is a major change in our own attitude.
